Order of Ceremony

11:00am – Boarding Commercial Vessels at their home berths in Docklands

11:00am - Free Ferry Service & Sunday Market Commences

11:00am – VIP Party boards the Schooner Enterprize at her home berth

11:30am – Commercial Vessels leave their berths and form up in the Southern pond of Victoria Harbour (Vessels dressed in Flags for the occasion, patrons are encouraged to dress in period costumes)

11:30am – Schooner Enterprize docks at Water Plaza VIPs and First Settlers alight and make their way to the Welcome to Country Ceremony

11:45am – MC David Mann from 3AW commences proceedings

11:45am – A Welcome to Country Ceremony ( Wurundjeri People)

11:52am – Speech by Auntie Doreen Garvey-Wandin (5mins) followed by Stan Dryden on the Didgeridoo

12:00pm – Welcome address by Melbourne's Deputy Lord Mayor Susan Riley

12:04pm – National Anthem Sung by Choir

12:15pm– Scotch College Pipes and Drums March in from Harbour Esplanade

12:30pm – Introduction to the Blessing by Cr Beverly Pinder-Mortimer

12:35pm – Blessing of the Fleet Ceremony by Father Bob Maguire

12:45pm – Mass Singing of Sailors Hymn Eternal Father Strong to Save (2 verses) with Choir

12:55pm – Auld Lang Syne with introduction and accompaniment from Scotch College Pipes and Drums

1:05pm – Vessels form a Flotilla led by Schooner Enterprize and sail out of Victoria Harbour

1:10 – 1:30pm – Vessels sail out of Victoria Harbour under the Bolte Bridge and return to Victoria Harbour.

1:00pm - 5:00pm –

  • Docklands Community & Boating Hub Open Day,
  • Indigenous and Multicultural performances,
  • St Ayles Skiffs – boat building and handling skills
  • Tourist train from Boating Hub to Shed 2 North Wharf
  • Historic Vessel Exhibition at Shed 2 North Wharf
  • Roving entertainment

Concert

1:00pm - 2:00pm – Singing from Jane O'Toole, Lindi Jane and Greek Dancers

2:00pm – Jaspora Reggae/Calypso Band

3:00pm – Miss Lizzy & the Night OwlsBlues Band

4:00pm – Normie Rowe & the Playboys

5:00pm – Free Ferry Service finishes & The Melbourne Regatta Closes.
